1. HONEYMOON Phase

2.  ONSET OF STRESS

Common Symptoms:

  • Inability to focus
  • Job dissatisfaction
  • Lower productivity
  • General neglect of personal needs

3. CHRONIC STRESS

Common Symptoms:

  • Chronic fatigue & exhaustion
  • Cynical attitude
  • Denial of problems at home and work’
  • Resentfulness

4. BURNOUT

Common Symptoms:

  • Feeling empty inside
  • Pessimistic outlook on work and life
  • Increase in escapist activities
  • Complete neglect of personal needs

Taking action

If left untreated the symptoms of burnout often become so embedded in your behaviour you are likely to experience chronic physical or emotional symptoms including:
